This annual event, hosted by The Blackpool Art Society, invites artists of all abilities to transform various corners of the park into vibrant canvases, showcasing their creativity and passion. As the sun sets on this dynamic competition, the completed artworks will be proudly displayed for the public to enjoy or buy. With a rich history and a commitment to promoting local talent, PAINT THE PARK has become a beacon for artists and art enthusiasts alike. Where and When?
At the multi-award winning Stanley Park, Blackpool voted the UK’s BEST PARK in 2017, 2019, and 2022! Come along and you will see why!
The PAINT THE PARK 2024 event will run on the 6th July 2024 with painting taking place between 10am and 4pm.
Judged by professional Plein Air artist Chris Mcloughlin, all work will be presented for public viewing from 5pm and available for artists to sell their work if they wish.
09:30 – Artist Registration – PAINT THE PARK HUB, Stanley Park Visitor Centre
10:00 – 16:00 – Painting Time
16:00 – Artists return their completed works to the Hub
16:30 – Judging by Professional Plein Air Artist Chris Mcloughlin
17:00 – Display open to the public. Artists welcome to sell their work.

WHO ARE WE?
Blackpool Art Society was originally formed in 1884. It is one of the oldest Art Societies in Britain
Our aim is to encourage members to experiment with and enjoy all forms of art. Our members are a mix of leisure painters of all abilities and professional artists. Our interests are very diverse, encompassing traditional and contemporary styles in all kind of media. This makes our exhibitions really interesting and dynamic events.
We have our own studio which was purpose built in 1972 on Wilkinson Ave, Blackpool, FY3 9HB. The studio facilities are available for all our members to use and we have several weekly studio groups, catering for various interests.
Having our own studio also enables us to hosts a very varied schedule of workshops, demonstrations and talks throughout the year.
